A review on Quantum Dots (QDs) and their biomedical applications

Quantum dots (QDs) are nanoscale semiconductor crystals that possess special characteristics, and they used in various fields. The composed of elements usually lie within the groups II-VI or III–V respectively. diameter these is smaller than Bohr excitation radius. These have unique photochemical photo-physical properties. There several methods for synthesizing QDs, which high temperature co-ordinated solvents-based synthesis one most important. procedures affect size determine their characteristics consequently applications. QDs widely fields bio-imaging, photovoltaic, catalysis, light-emitting diodes, photoconductors, photodetectors, major factors influence use field bio-imaging luminescence, narrow emission In this review, we discuss applications different fields, specifically today’s world modern biology.
